Lit Crawl San Francisco
One of the most anticipated literary nights of the year, San Francisco's Lit Crawl attracts close to 10,000 people, and is the world’s largest such event. In 2008 Lit Crawl NYC launched in Manhattan, also an immediate hit. Austin was next, swarming for the first time in 2011. In 2012, we birthed two more Lit Crawls, one in Brooklyn, another in Seattle. In 2013, we expanded to Los Angeles, Iowa City, and London, and in 2014, a Lit Crawl was launched in Helsinki.…

A Day Without Glass in Dolores Park
On Saturday, November 4 starting at noon there will be a ”Day without Glass in the Park”. We will be at the entrance 19th and Dolores Street, with the “Love Dolores” campaign. Can you join us for an hour or two? Please let us know, so we have a strong presence. We are beginning to see significant successes from our activities. Police and Park Ranger presence has increased, trash pickups have improved, and Rec and Park is installing security cameras.…

Our nascent horticultural society, Dolores Garden Club will meet for it’s third and most likely final gardening day of this year. So far, two events, a growing membership and and an excellent record: Garden Club 2- Weeds 0. At our last event in October we boasted 5 volunteers and turned our attention to the “Pollinator Bed” a very mixed border at the entrance to the Children’s Playground.
