WHAT: On June 13, the Department of Building Inspection hosts its
annual 2018 Earthquake Safety Fair from 10am to 4pm at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, 99 Grove Street, San Francisco 94102.
Fair kickoff at 10:30am with remarks from City leaders on the importance of earthquake preparedness.
This event features an exhibitor hall of contractors, design professionals, community and government partners; four informative workshops focusing on Emergency Preparation, home remodeling, Additional Dwelling Unit and Unit Legalization programs, and the Accessible Business Entrance program. Mini/Hands-On emergency training sessions also occur every 20 minutes. A Quake Cottage will be available at the entrance to Bill Graham for attendees to experience a simulated 8.0 earthquake.
Over 85 exhibitors ranging from contractors, design professionals, financial institutions, government agencies and community partners will be available to answer property owner questions on building, earthquake and fire safety.
